I tried to do system recovery to the state before last critical updates - no success, still no network. Windows troubleshooter says - "The wireless network adapter is experiencing problems" and "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter". "Ipconfig /all" command from shell does not list wireless/Ethernet adapters any more. After the restart my wireless and even Ethernet cable network adapters are gone! Had no even choice to postpone the restart. It is indeed annoying - my brand new HP Envy with Windows 8 and Intel Centrino Wireless N 2230 worked excellent until yesterday, 20th of November, 2012 when Windows told me that it will restart within few minutes in order to complete an important update.
